SUMMARY:Plan Bay Area 2040 Open House\, Mill Valley
DESCRIPTION:Plan Bay Area 2040 is a transportation & land use roadmap for future growth\, & it’s the most important transportation policy opportunity we will have for the next several years. The plan is a joint effort of MTC\, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission\, & ABAG\, the Association of Bay Area Governments\, & they are having Open Houses where members of the community can learn more about the plan & can make their voice heard. We will have a representative from the 350 Bay Area Transportation Campaign at the Marin County Open House. If you’re interested in sustainable\, just transportation this is a good time to jump in. Here are some questions we’ll be asking: \n\nWhat authority does the MTC have to enforce Priority Development Area density?\nHow will MTC meet its goal of 18% per capita GHG reduction?\nCan we fund sufficient transit options for the Priority Development Areas?\nDoes MTC have plans to electrify transit?\nCan MTC push cities & counties to have electric fleets?\nCan MTC urge cities & counties to enforce that new multi-family dwellings will have electric plug-ins?\n\nPlan Bay Area 2040 Marin Public Workshop/Open House
