SUMMARY:Marin Climate Strike - Novato
DESCRIPTION:We are having a Marin location\, in Novato\, you can go to in order to support the Global Climate Strike on September 20th. \nWe still encourage everyone who can to go to the bigger SF Climate Strike.  350 Bay Area’s Youth vs. Apocalypse with support from Sunrise Movement Bay Area are putting their energy in getting as many people as possible to SF. But for those who don’t want to go to SF\, or just can’t take the time\, and want to Stand Up for Action on Climate closer to where they are that day\, please come to this Novato event. It starts at the Novato City Hall at 10:00 am (try to arrive by 9:45). \nWe are having students and adults join together to support The Global Climate Strike and demand climate action NOW.  We will begin at 10:00 am on 9/20 and begin marching along sidewalks at 10:15  past three banks on Grand Ave. who have been helping bring us to the Climate Breakdown everywhere on the planet. It takes about 20 mins. to the banks. We will stop briefly in front of each bank\, with some Freedom Singers leading us in a song or two at each then return to City Hall. There will be a short rally there at 11:30 which will go to 12:00. \nThere will be some signs available but you can make/bring your own.  Very much an event for kids and young people as that is who we are standing behind on this Greta-inspired Fridays for Future worldwide event. \nWe are also looking for people to help us organize\, act as monitors\, for this event in Novato\, so please contact Silke at sikevalentine8@gmail.com or 415 272-5287 if you want to help or want more information.  Keep checking back here for more details \nNote that Sierra Club Marin\, Sustainable Novato\, and Sunrise Movement Marin are co-sponsors. \nFor a list of demands for the Global Climate Strike you can see them on our Facebook Event page by clicking on About and then Details. \n \nPost to 350BA
