SUMMARY:Marin High School Poster Contest for Clean Air Day
DESCRIPTION:October 4th is the sixth annual California Clean Air Day\, and 350Marin is calling local high school students to submit their designs for a poster raising awareness for Clean Air Day. 350Marin\, under sponsorship of the Bay Area Quality Management District\, will be awarding five winners $200 each for their creative efforts and plans to display winners’ designs on Clean Air Day to the community. \nRules for this Year’s Contest\n\nSubmissions open on September 6th and final poster designs must be submitted by 5 pm\, September 30th. Winners will be notified within 48 hours and announced on the 350Marin.org website on October 4th.\nAll posters must be created by currently enrolled Marin high school students. Participants are required to submit their poster through the entry form on 350Marin’s website with a teacher’s signature. Homeschooled students of high school age in Marin can submit with a parent’s signature.\nPoster may be designed individually or with a maximum of three students working on the same poster. All names of collaborating students must be listed on the entry form. If the poster is selected\, groups will share the $200 prize in whichever way they decide.\nStudents\, individually or in collaboration with other students\, may submit only one poster into the competition.\nDimensions of posters must fit on 8.5” x 11”\nStudents are to submit their posters digitally\, and posters created using other mediums/by hand should be scanned to upload along with the 350Marin entry form.\nPosters cannot use text or images directly taken from newspapers\, magazines\, downloaded from the Internet\, or other sources to form a collage.\nPosters should raise awareness for Clean Air Day in a creative and personalized way. Interpretation of this rule is up to the student\, but creating an effective poster design will require specificity of how clean air\, or lack thereof\, impacts the Marin community.\n\nNotably\, this is not an art contest; it is a messaging contest. Posters are judged on the impact of the student’s message and how they utilize creativity\, expressive language\, and original art to communicate that message.  \nEntry Form and Submission\n\nDownload and fill out the entry form: Marin-HS-Poster-Contest-Rules-9.6.23.pdf\nSubmit form and poster design to info@350Marin.org
