Hundreds of thousands march in New York at the 2014 People’s Climate March
On Wednesday evening, November 15th, at 7pm, we are inviting everyone concerned about the climate crisis to join us at the First Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo (we will be in the library which in a room to the left as you go thru the Chapel doors in to the entrance way) for one of many Fossil Free House Parties happening that week across the country. As extreme weather tears across the world – fires sweep California, hurricanes and floods disasters hit the South – our communities and our lives are on the line. Are you ready to push for bold climate action in Marin?
Across the country, climate activists are getting together to discuss a new 350.org campaign called Fossil Free. While the focus of this campaign is on an important goal, Marin County is much farther along than most of the country, as all its cities and the County are already purchasing 100% Renewable energy now. So, we are coming together mostly to talk about what we do as individuals, and what we should do and focus on next as a group. We would like to use this time to connect and engage for making a plan to take the next steps to do our part — we are still putting much more greenhouse gases in our atmosphere per person than most any place in the world. Let’s talk.
As the massive 2014 People’s Climate March said to the world: To Change Everything, It Takes Everyone! We hope you can join us.
